Exhibition honoring photographer Chuck Marting opens at UNC Asheville, Sept. 29
Honoring Chuck Marting, Photographer, an exhibition of black-and-white photographs by the Asheville Traditional Photographers Group, is on display through September 29 in Ramsey Library Blowers Gallery. A reception with the artists will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4 in the gallery.
The series consists of 40 black-and-white photographs, including photos by Chuck Marting, a musician, neonatal nurse and avid photographer who passed away after a long battle with cancer last year. The Asheville Traditional Photographers Group includes Bruce Black, Bill Logan, Roger Miller, Lee Morgan, John Newton, Jim Norman, Bill Smith, Leigh Svenson and Bob Walther.
