The James Brown Dance Party has just announced a special, one time only unique super-group tribute to James Brown featuring an all-star lineup of musicians from some of the top bands in the jam and funk world including members of Trey Anastasio Band, Cage The Elephant, Aretha Franklin’s Band, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, Strange Design and more. Local favorite, Mary Frances (Mama Funk) of Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, will be featured on vocals as well as Cody Wright of Jonathon Scales Fourchestra on Bass. This is an incredibly special event showcasing a lineup that has never played together before coming together to pay tribute to The Godfather of Funk. The James Brown Dance Party is a rotating cast of All Star Musicians from bands including, James Brown Band, The J.B.’s, Galactic, Trey Anastasio Band, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave., Victor Wooten Band, Wilson Pickett Band, Lettuce, Break Science, and more! Each show has a unique lineup that constantly rotates are creates a once in a lifetime performance night after night. Fans can expect a non-stop energetic dance party at The Asheville Music Hall, located at 31 Patton Ave.
