Runners of all ages and abilities are encouraged to sign up for this fun run that twists and turns through the beautiful streets of classic, quaint Brevard. It’s easy to register: Go to the Brevard website, brevardrotary.org and click on “Races 2017”. On the race page, one can register on line with active.com or download a paper registration to present on race day. Registration opens at 6 a.m. at the American Legion.

This year, the oldest entrant so far is Lynn Edwards, who is 94 years young. She has written a book titled “Running for My Life” and she will be signing copies on race day. Right on Time Productions will be providing the accurate race results. Each categories’ winners receive a first, second and third place metal during the award ceremonies.

All funds collected for this event go to help Brevard Rotary accomplish all their community goals. Brevard Rotary could not function without their fabulous sponsors: White Squirrel Realty, Transylvania River House, Brevard Health and Racquet Club and Nationwide/Trent and Associates.

Brevard Rotary meets every Tuesday at Silvermont. Rotary members and guests may purchase lunch, provided by Blue Ridge Bakery. Brevard Rotary is proud of its many successful, community minded projects including RYLA-Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Camp, Youth Exchange Program, Back Pack Buddies, School dictionaries and more.

The Rotary Club of Brevard is a group of business-minded professionals and community caring individuals. The public is always invited.  For more information, go to brevard.rotary.org.
