Mayer Kirby Mayer to perform benefit concert for Brother Wolf

Press release from Brother Wolf:

On September 20th from 7:30-10:30pm, acoustic group Mayer Kirby Mayer will perform at The Orange Peel in downtown Asheville to benefit the animals at Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.

The event will feature singer-songwriters Peter Mayer and Scott Kirby, along with Peter’s son Brendan Mayer. In his 30-year career, Peter has shared the stage with many talented musicians including Jimmy Buffett, the band Chicago, and singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell.

Scott Kirby is a self-taught acoustic guitarist and songwriter. When not touring, he performs regularly at The Smokin’ Tuna Saloon, a 200-seat music club he owns in Key West. Kirby’s music is influenced by the songwriters and folk-rock artists of the 1970s.

Mayer and Kirby have formed a musical friendship that includes co-writing music, performing, and creating a record label, Little Flock Music.

Brendan Mayer recently released his first album titled Getaway Car and spent much of 2014 touring with Jimmy Buffett as the featured guest artist. The trio formed Mayer Kirby Mayer in 2013.

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue will receive 100% of ticket sales from this event thanks to Four Seasons Ford in Hendersonville. Ticket prices range from $25-$30 and can be purchased at theorangepeel.net.

Brother Wolf receives no government funding and relies on donations to continue their life-saving work, including current efforts to rescue animals from the devastation left by Hurricane Florence in eastern North Carolina.
