Angeles Times and many other media outlets as an authoritative source on relief efforts
in Gaza. He is the UNRWA USA Director of Philanthropy. Almadhoun has personal connection to Gaza and family currently suffering in the ongoing genocide. The genocide in Gaza has killed over 30,000 Palestinians so far, and left millions more in desperate conditions. Additionally, Mr. Almadhoun has participated in numerous meetings at the White House and State Department, engaging with members of the National Security Council and government officials.On Saturday, March 9, from 1:00-3:00pm, at Land of Sky UCC, Mr. Almadhoun will speak to community members in Western North Carolina to share his knowledge of the most documented genocide in the history of humanity currently unfolding in Gaza. This event comes at the heels of multiple demonstrations in Asheville calling for a Free Palestine, a presentation of a CEASEFIRE resolution to Asheville City Council, and ongoing BDS campaigns urging local establishments to culturally and financially boycott Israeli goods. A resident of Alexandria, Virginia, Mr. Almadhoun is coming to Asheville as the distinguished guest of a coalition of individuals and advocates for Palestine, Asheville For Justice, and Jewish Voice for Peace Asheville.
