Joshua Messick, a local resident, is a National Hammered Dulcimer Champion and has established himself as one of the nation’s leading hammered dulcimer artists. Creativity flows with dynamic passion as he weaves progressive, cinematic stylings & modern techniques into traditional melodies, original compositions, & powerful improvisations.
Joshua relates, “When I play, I seek to convey human emotions that connect all people: love, sorrow, joy, gratitude–all gifts found in the chambers of every human heart. I know that music, especially as it resounds from the ancient hammered dulcimer, reflects the invisible human spirit. This music is a prayer without words and a balm to communicate love, hope, and healing.”
