Air Quality Wednesday April 27th – Yellow for valleys, due to smoke from Silver Mine forest fire

Smoke from a forest fire in Madison County is contributing to current code yellow air quality conditions for particulate matter in the valleys of Asheville & Buncombe County.  Unusually sensitive people should consider limiting prolonged outdoor exertion.

For the ridge tops, it remains a code green air quality forecast day.  No health impacts are expected when air quality is in this range.
