Alys Jorns jewelry trunk show at Sovereign Remedies, Oct. 24

Local jeweler Kerry Alyson Parks of Alys Jorns jewelry holds a trunk show at Sovereign Remedies Saturday, Oct. 24.

Press release from event organizers:

Alys Jorns, a new one-of-a-kind fine jewelry line, will debut with a trunk show at Sovereign Remedies downtown on Saturday, October 24th from 11am-5pm. The Alys Jorns line is for individuals who appreciate stunning natural gemstones, fine craftsmanship, and thoughtfully sourced materials. Designed with an eye for ease, simplicity and beauty, each one of a kind piece is expertly crafted by a master goldsmith. Founder and Creative Director Kerry Alyson Parks says, “These pieces add to and align with the unique qualities of each individual. In essence, these pieces of jewelry become their own ‘beings’. Just as we partner with and find connection with people, this too can be found with adornment.”

Parks’ background as an artist, traveler, and mother have informed her work to give it layers of intrigue and distinction. She says of her process, “ When I begin to visualize a new piece, I root into the deeper soul aspect of myself and put materials together in a visual way that feel like a map of adornment. I am led to place stones together in certain patterns and colors that resonate with the luminosity of our skin and the function of living an engaged life. These pieces are meant to be worn, loved, seen and felt.”

The trunk show will take place in the upper mezzanine area of Sovereign Remedies. An autumnal non-alcoholic apple tonic will be offered as well as Cava, a Spanish sparkling wine. In addition, handcrafted french macarons will be served.

Saturday, October 24th at Sovereign Remedies 2nd floor, 29 N Market St #105.
