Brevard College’s Grace Creech West Lecture Series is pleased to bring local author David Joy to campus to read from his acclaimed fiction on Tuesday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in McLarty-Goodson (MG) Room 125. A Q&A session will precede the reading at 4:00 p.m. in MG 138. Both events are free and open to the public.
David Joy is the author of the novel, “Where All Light Tends To Go,” a 2016 Edgar finalist for Best First Novel, and the memoir, “Growing Gills: A Fly Fisherman’s Journey.” Joy is the recipient of an artist fellowship from the North Carolina Arts Council, and his writing has appeared in numerous magazines and journals such as STILL: The Journal and The Good Men Project. His second novel, “The Weight of This World,” will be published in early 2017. He lives in Webster, North Carolina.
