“Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion isn’t just a music festival. It’s an infectious, three-day music experience, bursting with creative passion, electricity, and soul,” says the festival’s website. The three-day event is set for Friday-Sunday, Sept. 20-22, in historic downtown Bristol, which straddles the state line between Virginia and Tennessee.
This year’s lineup includes Lucinda Williams, Masters of Bluegrass, Blitzen Trapper, Deer Tick, Keller Williams, Colin Hay, Iris Dement, Hayes Carll, J.D. McPherson, Shovels & Rope, James McMurtry, Travelin’ McCourys, Jim Lauderdale, Scythian, Apache Relay, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Paul Thorn and many more.
Weekend passes are $60 in advance, through Sept. 19, and $70 at the gate. Day passes are available as well.
