Members of the community in Marion gathered for a signing ceremony on Monday, Oct. 24,to recognize the affiliation of Hospice of McDowell and CarePartners Health Services.
The affiliation started officially on Oct. 1. It makes use of combined experience, compassion and expertise to meet patient and caregiver needs.
Hospice of McDowell is now operating as CarePartners Hospice & Palliative Care McDowell. Clinical and administrative personnel will remain the same.
The signing ceremony took place at the office in Marion.
“Together, Hospice of McDowell and CarePartners are the right team to meet our key goals of improving our patients’ experience of care, ensuring access to the right care and improving the cost effectiveness of our care,” said Kit Cosgrove, executive director of CarePartners Hospice & Palliative Care McDowell.
CarePartners has long provided hospice care to the residents of Western North Carolina with home care and at its 27-bed Hospice/Solace Center in Asheville.
Hospice of McDowell and CarePartners both have a long‐standing reputation for providing high-quality patient care throughout Western North Carolina.
