Holiday Recycling Event

MountainTrue will be hosting its annual Holiday Recycling Event at Jackson Park on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Ball Field #6. Area residents are invited to bring their Christmas trees, wreaths, broken string lights and used greeting cards to be mulched and recycled.

Trees, wreaths, lights and greeting cards should be brought on the day of Jan. 11. Trees and wreaths should be stripped of all decorations and lights.

The mulcher has been provided by King Hardware & Rental and City of Hendersonville and Henderson County personnel will be on site to mulch the trees. Lights will be recycled by the Henderson County Cooperative Extension Service for the 4-H Project.

MountainTrue volunteers will be on hand to help and serve free cookies and hot apple cider. Free mulch will be available to those that want to take some home for gardening and landscaping.
