Here’s the news from the Asheville-based Homeward Bound of WNC, which works to end the cycle of homelessness in the region:
Asheville, NC (April 6, 2015): Homeward Bound of WNC, a nonprofit based in Buncombe and Henderson counties, is proud to announce that David Jacklin has joined the team as its new Henderson County Director.
Jacklin, who holds a degree in Health Promotion has been working in Henderson County since 2005. He began his career in the healthcare industry and eventually directed Community Outreach at Park Ridge Health. In 2011 he moved to the United Way of Henderson County as its Director of Community Impact. There he was involved in various groups working to understand the needs of Henderson County.
Jacklin was born in Buncombe County but has called Henderson County home since 2006. He’s the father of a 7-year old boy and enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring WNC and doing handyman projects.
The Henderson County Director is a new position for Homeward Bound and is designed to strengthen the community based work we are doing to end homelessness. He will join other Homeward Bound staff at its new office in downtown Hendersonville at 526 7th Avenue East.
Jacklin is well aligned with the values of Homeward Bound and its mission to work with others to end the cycle of homelessness. We are truly excited to have him as a member of our team.
