Edwards named to NC Senate 48th District seat
Governor Pat McCrory issued a proclamation appointing Chuck Edwards as a member of the North Carolina Senate 2015-2016 General Assembly. The Governor acted in response to the recommendation by the 48th State Senate District Executive Committee of the Republican Party that Edwards fill the unexpired term of the Honorable Tom Apodaca, who has resigned.North Carolina Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) issued the following statement pursuant to the Governor’s Proclamation:
“Chuck Edwards is an embodiment of how hard work and perseverance pays off. He started working at McDonald’s while in high school, learned the business from the ground up and went on to open several of his own franchises. The North Carolina Senate and the people of the 48th District will benefit greatly from his tireless work ethic, sharp business sense and drive to tackle tough policy challenges.”
