Photographers Jameykay Young and Arlie Huffman (together Jameykay + Arlie Photography) have teamed with LWD Couture for a two-day photography workshop. The event, a Fabled Gathering, takes place at Homewood on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 28 and 29.

Press release from event organizers:

Local creatives, Jameykay + Arlie Photography and LWD Couture are coming together to bring you a 2-day Photography workshop. The workshop will be held on July 28th + 29th at the beautiful Homewood Venue. Attendees will learn through hands-on demonstrations of what it means to tell a story behind the lens.

Day one of the workshop will consist of lectures focusing on the wedding industry and creating relationships within the profession. The day will continue with a fine art bridal inspiration shoot worthy of publication. LWD Couture will be designing a bespoke gown exclusive to the event.

Day two will bring the attendees closer to the natural beauty of the mountains that surrounds us, by exploring a real-time portrait session located on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The attendees will experience what it means as a photographer to location scout, shoot in a natural setting with a real couple, troubleshoot with environmental factors, and finding good light.

Joining the workshop team of creatives will be: Lucky Penny Creative, Floressence Flowers, 7 Ton Design Co., Ruth & Ranshaw, + more to be announced.
