Press release from Four Seasons Compassion for Life:
FLAT ROCK, N.C. – Four Seasons Compassion for Life is National Partner for Hospice Innovation. The western North Carolina non-profit health care leader partners to positively impact patient and family care experiences during advancing serious illness, setting benchmarks for excellence, quality, and value Four Seasons Compassion for Life is an inaugural member of the recently formed National Partnership for Hospice Innovation (NPHI). NPHI is a national collaborative of 28 not-for-profit, community integrated hospice and palliative care providers who play a unique role as a crucial safety net for the sickest, most vulnerable patients in the community it serves.
“NPHI members share our belief that each person deserves exceptional care at end of life that is consistent with their goals, values, and preferences,” says Derek Groves, senior vice president of community relations and chief data officer at Four Seasons. Innovation within this context is driven by patient and family needs, he says, and requires investments in caregiving, bereavement services, psycho-social and spiritual support. “Partners like Four Seasons consistently achieve the highest standard of care,” Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI president and CEO, shared in a recent announcement. “They are committed to improving current best practices in hospice delivery and applying those principles throughout the continuum of care.”
Four Seasons stands as a leader in the provision of the highest quality hospice care, documenting that leadership though gathering and disseminating data on quality and value, and setting the standard for excellence nationwide.“Partnership with NPHI makes it possible to effectively leverage collective industry knowledge to improve care experiences for our patients at end of life,” says Groves.
