Free document shred and drug take back day, Sept. 22 in Etowah, N.C.

Henderson County, NC, August 23, 2017 – TRIAD Henderson County, United Community Bank Etowah Branch, HOPE RX and Henderson County Sheriff’s Office are partnering with a FREE document shredding and drug take back day on Friday, September 22nd from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the United Community Bank in Etowah, NC.

United Community Bank will have a shred truck on site to provide free document shredding (past tax records, bank records, medical documents, etc.) to its customers and residents of Henderson County, especially those around the Etowah/Horseshoe area.  This is for residential shredding only, not businesses, plus no large clips on documents or binders. The event will also have a Drug Take Back (outdated and unwanted prescription and over the counter drugs) component supported by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and HOPE RX of Henderson County.  The day’s mission is to help the community and especially the elderly better protect themselves from scams, frauds, identity theft, abuse and theft.

TRIAD Volunteers, United Community Bank Employees, Law Enforcement and HOPE RX volunteers will staff this event and be on hand to answer questions plus provide resources materials on how to protect yourself from identity theft, fraud, and scams.
