Gift wrapping event benefits CarePartners hospice patients and their families, volunteers still needed

Press release from CarePartners:

The holiday season offers us many opportunities to give back to the community. One such event involves wrapping paper, spools of tape, and boxes upon boxes of bows, ribbon, and gift tags. Each year, hundreds of people volunteer to wrap gifts in exchange for modest donations from shoppers at Asheville Outlets. These donations benefit CarePartners Foundation, which ensures the availability of post-acute healthcare for everyone. Now in its 23rd year, the gift wrap booth will be set up in the food court of Asheville Outlets on Brevard Road from November 25 through December 24, 2016. Over the years, the CarePartners Foundation gift wrap booth has raised tens of thousands of dollars for hospice care. Most volunteer shifts last three hours. “This is something most anyone can do,” says Amanda Cantrell, Special Events Coordinator. “If you’re looking for a way to help people in need over this holiday season, we hope you’ll consider signing up for a few shifts.”

To sign up, visit carepartnersfoundation.org and click on the Gift Wrap Volunteer link at the top right of the page.  You can also e-mail acantrell@carepartnersfoundation.org for more information or to sign up. Funds raised will help bring comfort and make a difference in the lives of patients facing life-limiting illness and their loved ones.
