Jewish Secular Community of Asheville presents lecture on Secular Humanistic Judaism
The Jewish Secular Community of Asheville cordially invites the Asheville community to join us for a weekend with Rabbi Robert Barr, Founding Rabbi of Congregation Beth Adam, Cincinnati, Ohio, a Congregation that celebrates Judaism with a Humanistic perspective.
Known for his often-witty presentation style, Rabbi Barr will discuss what Secular Humanistic Judaism is, its historical roots, philosophy, ideas and impact. Rabbi Barr will also explore issues, dynamics and challenges that are dramatically altering the Jewish landscape. His talk will include time for questions and answers.
