Press release from PUSH Skateshop & Gallery:

Elementary: paintings, sculptures, drawings, and digital works by Joshua Spiceland. Reception is Friday, January 10 from 7-10pm. The show will be up from January 10-February 29.

Spiceland has put together a show comprised of large experimental abstract paintings, canvas scrolls, sculptures in wood and ceramic, and drawings. The subject matter ranges from the ecstatic to the ethereal, and back to allegory. Many mediums were used in the creation of this body of work. Expect to find an immersive environment full of very variable art.

Spiceland was raised in Boone, NC, migrated to Asheville for college, where he received a degree in painting. He now teaches art at French Broad River Academy.
