Mayfel’s to donate portion of sales to animal welfare organizations throughout summer

Mayfel’s restaurant of downtown Asheville will donate 10 percent of daily sales to one of 17 rotating animal welfare organizations during the dog-friendly business’ “Dog Days of Summer” fundraiser, which runs weekly from May through August.

The first featured organization, Animal Haven of Asheville, will receive the donation based on Thursday, May 14 sales and will also have a table (including a “furry animal ambassador”) in the restaurant that day. Other participating organizations include Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, Asheville Humane Society, WNC Nature Center, Humane Alliance Spay & Neuter Clinic and more.

Mayfel’s restaurant at 22 College Street kicks off the 5th Annual Dog Days of Summer fundraiser. The first sponsored organization, Animal Haven of Asheville, will have an info table set up from 2 PM – 6 PM, and will be accompanied by a furry animal ambassador.

Come eat and drink in support of local animals in need. Mayfel’s will host a different organization each Thursday, and will donate 10% of the day’s sales to help them help animals in need. Participating organizations include Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, Asheville Humane Society, WNC Nature Center, Humane Alliance Spay & Neuter Clinic, and many more. Throughout the year, Mayfel’s partners with local animal organizations to raise awareness and funding for much needed programs. Mayfel’s is dog friendly, with seating on the front patio across from Pritchard Park and the seasonal courtyard patio. Mayfel’s opens at 10 AM Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 9 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, and closes at 10 PM. Mayfel’s is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
