MetroWines and Brewing Up a Storm will host a partial screening of the documentary Beer Wars: Brewed in America at the shop on Friday, June 26, at 6 p.m. Following the documentary excerpts will be a panel discussion featuring “industry insiders” from the local beer industry. (MetroWines had originally planned to screen the entire documentary until potential viewers expressed greater interest in the panel discussion, which will now be lengthier.)
“Kenny Capps from Kudzu Branding, Jenn Pittman from Green Man Brewing, Erica Bear from Sugar Creek Brewing, Cory Cunningham from Skyland Distribution, Lauren Percilla from Next Generation Distribution, Jordan Boinest from Newgrass Brewing, among others will share their trials and successes getting craft beer to market in the face of competition against the macro brew giants,” reads a release from MetroWines.
Participants include A $10 ticket to attend includes one beverage from the shop. Parking is free at the shop, 169 Charlotte Street.
