Hendersonville, N.C. (August 5, 2013) – Park Ridge Health is pleased to welcome board-certified neurologist Laura Mason, M.D., to its integrated network of providers. Dr. Mason is now taking appointments to see new patients at 50 Doctors Drive, Suite 1, which is on the campus of Park Ridge Health.
Dr. Mason sees patients for neurological disorders including neuropathy, myopathy, migraine, epilepsy, myasthenia gravis, Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), Guillan-Barre syndrome, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, dementia and stroke. She has a special interest in epilepsy and neuromuscular disease, and offers diagnostic studies including electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction, vagal nerve stimulator treatment for epilepsy, and BOTOX® treatment for migraines.
Dr. Mason earned her medical degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Fla., and completed a residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She most recently served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of General Neurology and Neuromuscular Disease at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and also provided care at the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Mason is a certified diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
