Laurie Bakke, Valerie Welbourn and Christine Filka have announced the opening of Sage Gourmet, a kitchen and gourmet store, on Monday, Oct. 28. The grand opening will be 5:30 – 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. Author Martha Ezzard from Tiger Mountain Vineyards will speak at the event about her new book, “The Second Bud: Deserting the City for a Farm Winery.” Wine and snacks will be served. Gourmet Sage is located at 416 N. Main St. in downtown Hendersonville (the previous location of the Purple Sage).
