OSEGA Gymnasts Pick Up Eight Regional Championships
Swannanoa, NC-OSEGA Gymnasts Won Eight USGA Regional Championships last week in what is being called “the best performance by any gymnastics program in our region.”
The boy’s regional championship was held in Daytona, Florida. The girl’s regionals were held in Mobile, Alabama.
Pitted against state champions from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, OSEGA gymnasts performed on a level that can only be called “amazing!” OSEGA Gymnastics qualified multiple boy’s and girl’s teams to their respective championships, and when the chalk dust settled, OSEGA gymnasts proved it had some of the best athletes in the region. Coaches Monica Avery (Girl’s Team) and Miles Avery (Boy’s Team), said, “Combined, the boy’s and girl’s teams placed in the top six, forty-two times! Even more impressive, OSEGA brings back to the Asheville area, eight regional championships. We are tremendously proud of our athletes!”The girls representing OSEGA and North Carolina at the championships were:
