Pardee Hospital announced today that it is implementing visitor restrictions in response to an increase in influenza-like illnesses noted by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services as well as the Henderson County Health Department. The following visitor restrictions are designed to protect patients, staff and visitors:
· No visitors with flu-like symptoms or cough
· Visitors must be ages 18 or older; children will not be permitted at this time
· Visitors should be limited to immediate family and/or clergy
· Only one to two visitors in a patient’s room at a time

Pardee Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds.
