Pardee Hospital announced today it will host “10 Screenings That Could Save Your Life” on Wednesday, April 13, from 7 to 11 a.m. at its Signature Care Center in the Blue Ridge Mall. Qualified individuals (based on certain medical criteria) will receive five screenings for $50 and can select additional screenings for $10 each. The five basic screenings include cholesterol and glucose, blood pressure, body mass index and waist circumference, pulmonary function, and sleep disorders. Additional tests include abdominal aortic aneurysm screening, stroke screening (Carotid Artery Doppler), ankle-brachial index (ABI), electrocardiogram (EKG), and cardiac ejection fraction. Pardee Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds.
