Press release for Park Ridge Health:
Park Ridge Health is excited to announce it has earned the American College of Radiology Accreditation for 3D Mammography. Park Ridge Health Diagnostic Imaging met the criteria required for this three-year accreditation, including clinical image quality.
Park Ridge Health Diagnostic Imaging has been offering the Genius 3D/tomosynthesis Mammography for nearly a year. This imaging provides a more accurate mammogram that detects 41% more invasive cancers than traditional 2D mammograms. It also reduces the need for unnecessary rescreening by preventing up to 40% of false positive reports. *
“Park Ridge Health is thrilled to have earned the American College of Radiology Accreditation for the 3D/tomosynthesis Mammography that is a vital part of our comprehensive breast care program,” said Todd Guffey, Director, Park Ridge Health Diagnostic Imaging. “The accreditation is the result of the hard work and dedication of our Diagnostic Imaging team who put providing excellent care for our patients first, every single day.”
“Park Ridge Health has made it a priority to build a comprehensive team to meet the breast health needs of our patients,” says Jason Wells, Chief Operating Officer, Park Ridge Health Physician Enterprise. “We are committed to guiding you through each step of this journey to take the lead in your health care.”
The addition of the new 3D/tomosynthesis Mammography strengthens Park Ridge Health’s commitment to providing comprehensive breast health care. In 2016, Park Ridge Health Surgery Specialists welcomed David Onofrey, M.D., F.A.C.S. and W. Gregory Ward, M.D., F.A.C.S., both members of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Park Ridge Health Diagnostic Imaging also earned the prestigious American College of Radiology’s designation of “Breast Cancer Center of Excellence,” along with the Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Breast Centers.
