Prescription drug take back event Thursday, March 21 at Asheville Outlets

ASHEVILLE – Insurance Commissioner and Safe Kids N.C. Chair Mike Causey invites the public to drop off their unused medication at our Operation Medicine Drop prescription drug take back event so it can be properly disposed of and kept out of the wrong hands.

WHAT:     Prescription Drug Take-Back event (Operation Medicine Drop)

 

WHERE:  Asheville Outlet Mall

                   800 Brevard Road, Asheville, N.C. 28806

 

WHEN:     Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

 

WHY:         Prescription drug overdoses are the leading cause of injury death – for the

first time, it surpasses motor vehicle deaths. Operation Medicine Drop aims

to keep unused drugs out of the wrong hands and out of our water and

environment.
