PSNC Energy provides financial and hands on support for older adults in Henderson county through Meals on Wheels Program
Through their corporate community outreach program, PSNC Energy has donated $2500 to the Council on Aging for Henderson County for their Meals on Wheels program. In addition to the financial donation, PSNC employees will be joining Meals on Wheels volunteers the last two weeks of August to deliver hot, nutritious meals to at-risk older adults throughout Henderson County. Citing service to the community as a key company value, PSNC Energy Mills River facility volunteer coordinator Jeff Shuford says Meals on Wheels was a clear choice.
“We are proud to support and volunteer for The Council on Aging for Henderson Council County’s Meals on Wheels program,” said Jeff Shuford, PSNC Energy customer support specialist, who coordinates volunteer efforts. “Our employees are dedicated to making a difference in their community and this program gives us the opportunity to not only deliver a nutritious meal, but also spend time with those we are impacting.”
