From Buncombe County Election Services:
Tuesday, Sept. 17 is National Voter Registration Day and Buncombe County Election Services Director Corinne Duncan is sharing resources and tools to help our community to be ready to vote.
“National Voter Registration Day is about celebrating our shared American democracy, and whether you need to register or have questions about your registration status, our team is here for you,” says Duncan. Election Services is partnering with Buncombe County Public Libraries for the day. You can always find voter registration forms available at Libraries, but on Tuesday, you will be able to fill out your registration paperwork at any Buncombe County Public Library and they will deliver the forms to Election Services. Buncombe Librarians can also help registered voters, look up their status, and polling information.
Director Duncan will go live on Facebook and be available for an in-person media event at 10:30 a.m. at the Enka-Candler Library at 1404 Sand Hill Road in Candler. Duncan will share resources for voter registration and give an update on absentee ballot mailing in Buncombe County.
