Here’s the info via the Buncombe County website:
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is holding a community meeting at the Swannanoa Fire Department, Bee Tree Station, on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:00 p.m. Sheriff Van Duncan will be in attendance to hear first-hand about issues and concerns that residents have about their community.
The Sheriff’s Office Community Oriented Problem Solving (COPS) team will also be in attendance. The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office utilizes this problem solving based approach to address issues in specific communities. Each COPS Team works in a particular community for thirty days identifying key issues, speaking with community leaders and residents in the community, creating an action plan. They present their findings and suggestions to the Sheriff’s Office Command Staff and to the community at the end of the thirty day period.
Sheriff Duncan and the COPS team look forward to meeting with members of the Swannanoa community.
