The Foundation Spot’s Foundation Hellraiser

On Saturday, May 21st, the Asheville Skate Foundation is collaborating with A​rts 2 People during the R​iver Arts District Artists’ Studio Stroll (May 19th through 22nd) and alongside our friends with B​urners & BBQ t​o host an E​PIC p​arty in the River Arts District, and we want YOU to be in on the fun! Make your tax­deductible donation today and be one of the inaugural supporters of The Foundation Spot during T​HE FOUNDATION HELLRAISER!

Funds support our new INSURANCE POLICY and NEW RAMPS and other amenities to maintain our skateable sculpture park!

The Foundation Spot is a DIY skateable sculpture park built by volunteers with the help of PUSH Skateshop. It draws swarms of locals and visitors from around the country. Located behind the Riverview Station in the emerging Foundation Studios of Asheville’s River Arts District, the Spot has become a beacon for grassroots creativity and radical exercise. The Spot is free and open to anyone who wants to appreciate the art or ride the terrain. It is surrounded by an extensive and beautiful collection of murals, created by some

of Asheville’s most talented artists.

Come out on Saturday to enjoy live music & DJs, local beer & food vendors, free activities for the whole family, and most importantly the Skateboard Extravaganza!

A collective of professional artists, skateboarders, community leaders and local business executives, the Asheville Skate Foundation is dedicated to keeping the Foundation Spot open on private land while supporting volunteer management and participation by people of all ages. ABOUT ARTS 2 PEOPLE

Arts 2 People is a grassroots, community activist, arts and social service organization that has been working in the community on behalf of emerging arts projects like the Foundation Spot for two decades. A2P produced 15 years of LAAFF, and is the group responsible for the popular landmark Lexington Gateway mural at I­240 and Lex, and several other important murals in AVL. Over the years, A2P has moved well over a million dollars around in the community, incubating literally hundreds of creativity based businesses and endeavors.
