23rd Annual Winter Concert – “A Holiday Concert” featuring a special tribute to holiday movies.

Tickets are $13 in advance or $15 at the door for adults and $8 in advance or $10 at the door for children 12 and under (pending availability).

Voices in the Laurel is a Haywood County based non-profit choir for young people ranging from 1st grade through 12th grade from Haywood, Buncombe, Jackson, Macon, and Swain counties under the direction of Martha Brown. Voices in the Laurel is an authentic program that focuses on providing young people quality choral education in fun and innovative ways.
Voices in the Laurel provides choristers the opportunity to participate in performance tours all over the world. Previous summer tours include trips to Washington, D.C.; New York City; Atlanta; Chicago; San Francisco; Charleston, S.C.; Hawaii; England; France; Australia; Spain; Ireland; Northern Ireland; Austria; and the Czech Republic. This year the choir is set to travel to London and Paris in the summer of 2019.
Particularly noteworthy concerts include performances with the Asheville Lyric Opera at the Diana Wortham Theater; at the Charleston’s “Little Spoleto” Festival; as an opening act for Dolly Parton in her Christmas show at Dollywood; with Ronnie Milsap at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville; performing the National Anthem at multiple Atlanta Braves games and at a Cincinnati Reds game; at the Pacific Rim Children’s Choir Festival in Hawaii; in the National Cathedral in Washington, DC; in the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Carnegie Hall in New York City; in London’s Westminster Abbey; in Chartres Cathedral outside Paris, France; and at the Sydney Opera House in Australia, among many others.
