Wheels4Hope Asheville calls for car donations

The local chapter of the nonprofit organization Wheels4Hope is sending out a call for Asheville area residents to donate vehicles to their program and assist families in need of reliable transportation, according to a press release from the organization.

“We are gaining speed and building momentum!” says the organization’s spokesperson Jamie Beasley. “We have received 25 donated vehicles and have repaired and placed 5 with local families who were desperately in need of safe, reliable transportation.”

Wheels4Hope is a faith-based nonprofit organization with several outreach locations across North Carolina which works to refurbish donated vehicles and match them with low-income families.

Working with other local community-developing nonprofits such as Homeward Bound, Helpmate, Habitat For Humanity and Community Action Opportunities, Wheels4Hope identifies families most in need and helps to provide transportation so they can more easily access resources and job opportunities. “We know that reliable transportation is a critical piece of the puzzle to survive and thrive in this community,” says Beasley.

If you would like to donate a vehicle to Wheels4Hope, make a financial donation or volunteer your time, to help restore cars for families in need, or if you are in need of a vehicle or transportation assistance, visit wheels4hope.org or call their Asheville location at (828)-676-5150.
