From the WNCAP Newsletter:
Ambassadors are the most important asset we have to ensure the success of this year’s Dining Out for Life event on Thursday, April 26th. Ambassadors serve as “meet and greet” hosts at participating restaurants during breakfast, lunch or dinner. Each restaurant will donate 20% of their sales that day to support the mission of WNCAP.
The number one job of Ambassadors is inviting friends, co-workers, relatives, clients, etc. to dine at your restaurant on Thursday, April 26th so it’s a “win-win” for both the restaurants and WNCAP. Ambassadors also distribute drawing/donation envelopes that allow diners to make an additional donation to WNCAP and provide an opportunity to win several prizes — our way of saying thanks to diners for participating. Last year’s event raised more than $130,000 to support HIV/AIDS prevention, education and outreach in 18 counties of WNC as well as client services for over 400 men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in our community.
Check the list of currently available restaurants here http://www.wncap.org/dofl/volunteer/, then email your top two restaurant choices to Chris as soon as possible. He’ll be back in touch regarding a one-hour training session during the last week of March where you can meet other Ambassadors and receive all the information you need to be a successful Dining Out for Life Ambassador. Your donation of time… just may help save a life! Thanks to those who have already signed up.
