Press release from Park Ridge Health:
Park Ridge Health, which is part of Adventist Health System, has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review, a national health care publication, as one of the top places to work in health care. The 2018 “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare” list highlights hospitals, health systems and health care companies that, among other things, promote diversity within the workforce, employee engagement and professional growth. This is the fifth year in a row for Park Ridge Health to be honored with this distinction.
“The dedication to providing whole person care goes beyond the high-quality care we give our patients and encompasses how we care for our team members as well,” said Jimm Bunch, Park Ridge Health President and CEO. “We make it a priority to provide opportunities for them to grow professionally through leadership development initiatives, including Franklin Covey, Talent Smart and other internationally recognized organizational development programs. There is no greater feeling than to see our team members discover and grow the talents and skills God has given them to fulfill the calling on their lives, both personally and professionally.”
Becker’s Hospital Review noted that Adventist Health System works to promote personal, professional and spiritual growth with its workplace culture; provides opportunities for employees to take part in mission trips; and encourages maintaining a healthy lifestyle through its wellness program.
One of 46 Adventist Health System hospital campuses, Park Ridge Health caregivers and employees work to advance the mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ in the Western North Carolina community. Park Ridge Health empowers its caregivers with training, technology and support to provide high-quality care that keeps safety at the forefront for both patient and caregiver.
Park Ridge Health has repeatedly earned national recognition for its Safety and Quality standards. “Providing a safe work environment empowers not only the best outcomes for our patients, but an environment of confidence for our care team so they can provide uncommon compassion through every interaction with our patients, every time,” said Roland Joy, Park Ridge Health Chief Nursing Officer.
