Acoustic Asheville: Eric Congdon

With influences ranging from classic blues and rock to bluegrass and world music, Eric Congdon‘s skill is in seamlessly mixing elements.

Congdon is a regular on the local music scene, performing solo, with a band, and occasionally with blues singer Peggy Ratusz and Americana band The Wintervals.

You can catch Congdon doing a solo set on the patio at The Grey Eagle on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 5 p.m.

In the meantime, he gave an exclusive performance for Xpress and Acoustic Asheville featuring five original tunes.

“Dark River”

“So Many Miles”

“Haunted Midnite Train”

“Why You Hidin’ Sunshine?”

“Billy Tree”
