Thao and The Get Down Stay Down returned to Asheville this week in support of  new album A Man Alive. Frontwoman Thao Nguyen described the record as “more instrumental, more riff- and loop-centric and has more manipulated sounds. … Not just fun, but I wanted a kind of crazy, rabid, animal energy.”

The Grey Eagle show also included sets from Emily Easterly and Saintseneca.
