“8) What’s the best way to deal with criminals coming into Buncombe from other counties?

Get on board with the Section 287(g) immigration in Buncombe County.”

Oh. So all ‘criminals’ from other counties (that is ‘counties, not countries’) are by definition illegals?

“9) How would you deal with gang activity?

Eighty-two gangs in Buncombe County (advanced technology and serious field operations).”

Fine, you can count. Now, how about answering the question?

It’s obvious ‘Dionysis’ that there is unfamiliarity with ‘illegal’ immigrants and the percentage that are involved in ILLEGAL activities. If not satisfied with the candidate’s answer then ask the candidate for yourself, instead of basing your opinion on edited responses. I guess taxpayers paying for a 45% increase for the Sheriff Dept. alone does not bother you. It will when the economy and the dollar start their final descent!

These are Mr. Green’s complete response to questions 8 and 9, unedited (all candidates were asked to limit answers to 50 words or less):

    8. GET ON BOARD WITH THE 287g IMMIGRATION IN BUNCOMBE COUNTY. 9. 82 GANGS IN BUNCOMBE COUNTY (ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AND SERIOUS FIELD OPERATIONS ).

“If not satisfied with the candidate’s answer then ask the candidate for yourself, instead of basing your opinion on edited responses.”

What “answer?” And how do you know this non-answer was an “edited response?” Ms. Williams denies that is the case, so who are you to claim otherwise? Were you there? And to suggest that I should just “ask him myself” is nonsense, of course. Maybe you could give me his home phone number, as you seem to have a direct pipeline to this mediocre candidate.

And there was a dire need to address deficiencies in the sheriff’s department in the wake of the dishonest and incompetent former sheriff now jailbird. So ‘no’, it doesn’t “bother me.”

Any other drivel you want to get off your chest?
