Progressive radio talk show host Ed Schultz will tape his show during a town hall meeting Wednesday night at Asheville’s Thomas Wolfe Auditorium.
Asheville is the latest stop on Schultz’s “Voices of America Tour,” which has taken him from Anchorage, Alaska, to Columbus, Ohio. His tour is taking him to battleground states where the presidential election between Democratic contender Sen. Barack Obama and Republican Sen. John McCain is being closely fought.
Schultz broadcasts from Fargo, N.D., and is syndicated by the Jones Radio Network on more than 100 affiliates. In Asheville, he can be heard on 880 AM, The Revolution.
Schultz’s show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10. There will be a meet-and-greet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with Schultz at Sante wine bar in the Grove Arcade. Tickets for the meet-and-greet and the show combined cost $50.
