Letter: Build a new stadium with better parking

[Regarding “Safe at Home? A Look Back at Asheville’s Precarious Pro Baseball History,” Jan. 18, Xpress]: For that much money, they should just build a new stadium in a part of town with better parking where they want more people to go.

Having to cross Biltmore Avenue to get to the stadium is not fun.

A great place for a new stadium would be the old Asheville speedway, now known as carrier park. There is plenty of parking and a great deal of infrastructure is already in place.

One reason the Asheville Speedway was shut down was because of the noise level potentially disturbing the guests on the Biltmore Estate. I don’t believe they’d allow a baseball stadium there, either.
