[Regarding “Closer to Compassion? N.C. May Inch Closer to Legalizing Medical Marijuana” June 1, Xpress:] Yes, yes, yes. Legalize medicinal marijuana! I am tired of traveling to Boston and Virginia to get the herb. Get smart, but don’t overlook that local growers/farmers would supply what North Carolina needs.

Please find it in your hearts to legalize for the people, and economic growth. Some people such as myself need this life sustaining medication for Crohn’s and epilepsy. I used to have seizures in middle of public and truly took a toll on my body and once I started medicating with 1:1 ratios RSO which gives equal part of CBD to THC ratio. Why do I need THC AND CBD YOU ASK? Well first and foremost the THC makes my pain more manageable and my nausea go away. Also CBD is vital to my healing as it helps my epilepsy more than anything and secondly it helps my inflammation. Please do the people a favor that are still suffering. Thanks in advance but please let the people decide and just sign off. Otherwise you are part of the problem. People should be able to medicate with safer substance than opioids.
We of course applaud any effort to promote cannabis as long as the Medical Marijuana Bill is not tied to BIG PHARMA and or BIG Tabaco. A fair and well regulated system of licensing that does not pander to big $$ lobby and isolate opportunity for a local business owner through some outrageous pay to play game.
