From a press release:

Asheville Symphony announces The Many Moods of McCartney, Sept. 27

Join us for the magical music of Sir Paul McCartney: his classical compositions and the classic pop tunes that are part of the soundtrack of our lives.  The Asheville Symphony will be joined by special guest artists including: 2009 Rock And Roll Hall of Fame inductee and doo-wop legend Little Anthony; Oscar-winning singer and composer Frankie Previte who wrote the theme song “Time of My Life” from the movie Dirty Dancing; multi-platinum artist Bobby Caldwell; Broadway singer Lisa Sherman; rising country singers Samantha Landrum and Emily West.  The Grammy Award-winning Roger Kellaway will perform a world premiere of his newest work, “The Many Moods of McCartney” with jazz piano virtuoso Peter Beets.  We are also privileged to present the American Gala Premiere of Sir Paul McCartney’s solo piano piece “A LEAF” to be performed by rising star Yongmei Hu.

This spectacular concert is “ALL4Asheville” and will benefit four of the causes Asheville cares most about: food relief, conserving our environment, educating our youth, and the arts. Please join us in supporting MANNA FoodBank, the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, Asheville City Schools Foundation and the Asheville Symphony.
