New Sheriff in Henderson County sworn in

According to the Hendersonville Times-News, Charlie McDonald was sworn in as the new sheriff of Henderson County Thursday morning during a ceremony at Blue Ridge Community College.

Former Sheriff Rick Davis took sick leave Nov. 23 after he said he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and he was granted medical retirement last month. McDonald will finish Davis’ term, which ends in 2014.
