Sundays Live continues Sept. 25

PRESS RELEASE:

With the best rooftop venue in town, Aloft Asheville Downtown will host its next Sundays Live@Aloft event on September 25th from 5:00 until 8:00pm featuring live entertainment from The Free Flow Band, an Asheville favorite performing funk, soul and R&B covers with an original twist. The event is open to the public and a suggested $5 donation will benefit the LEAF Foundation. Guests can enjoy local craft brews, cocktails, light snacks and spectacular mountain views surrounding downtown Asheville.

“The Aloft Asheville Downtown team is excited to invite locals and hotel guests to our rooftop Air Level for another Sundays Live@Aloft event featuring great entertainment, stunning mountain views, and delicious refreshments all to benefit a very deserving cause,” said David McCartney, general manager of Aloft Asheville Downtown. “Through the September event, we are humbled to support the LEAF Foundation, a non-profit that helps enrich the lives of people across Western North Carolina through the arts.”

The LEAF Foundation is committed to transforming lives, connecting cultures and generating unity through music, the arts, festivals and education programs. In addition to impacting Asheville families and youth through its annual festivals, LEAF offers year-round programs that allow young people to explore the arts and hone their skills. The LEAF Foundation also collaborates with communities around the world to teach youth about the arts.

The 2016 Sundays Live@Aloft series features a raffle fundraiser, and $5 raffle tickets will be on sale at each event. At the last event in October, the winner of the raffle will win a package donated by Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort that is valued at $600 and includes a one night stay at the resort, dinner for two at Chef’s Stage Buffet, and breakfast for two at Selu Garden Café. The last event of the 2016 series will be held on October 30th, featuring Goldie and the Screamers and benefitting Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue.
