WHAT: Asheville Museum of Science Spotlight Campaign Kickoff

WHO: The Colburn Earth Science Museum, soon to be renamed Asheville Museum of Science

WHERE: Catawba Brewing Co., 32 Banks Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801 (Back room)

WHEN: Wednesday, December 9th from 6 p.m. — 8 p.m.

INFO: The Colburn Earth Science Museum, established in 1960, is moving from its current location in Pack Place and rebranding as the Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS). Slated to move in April 2016, AMOS will expand into the heart of downtown in the Wells Fargo Building on Patton Avenue. AMOS will be a science center for visitors of all ages along with Western North Carolina schools, featuring cutting edge, interactive science exhibits and standards-based science education. Anyone interested is invited to attend to learn more about the planned changes and how individuals can get involved helping AMOS move science into the spotlight. The campaign kickoff event will also include door prizes, guest speakers and food and beverages.
