From a press release:
Asheville Free Media holds 5th anniversary dance party
Asheville Free Media is celebrating 5-years of internet broadcast with Power Up: Enciendete! At the Orange Peel on Friday, September 12th, doors are at 8pm, and the music begins at 9pm.
It takes two to tango, so we’ve invited our friends at Asheville Writers In The Schools & Community to join us for a benefit for our two non-profits. Ticket purchase includes a raffle ticket, so stay tuned to AshevilleFM.org for information on the raffle.
Acclaimed vocalist, Liley Arauz, joins mixmasters DJ Harry Darnell and AFM’s own, DJ Malinalli, so wear your favorite dance shoes and prepare to dance the night away!
Curious about AshevilleFM? Broadcasting online since 2009, our programming is truly free-form, including jazz and comedy, pop and poetry, rock ‘n’ roll and sports talk, world music and local news, hip-hop and health, old-school country and anarchist journalism, blues and kids’ shows, politics and dance music, live simulcasts and Spanish-language programming, and spotlights on local non-profits and community causes, with everything in between and more to come. Expect to hear us on the airwaves at 103.3FM, from high atop the Hotel Indigo, as soon as this fall!
