One of the most popular outdoor art events, the Art on Main Festival, features both fine art and fine crafts from artists throughout North and South Carolina, and many other states — and the Arts Council of Henderson County is looking for local artists who would be interested in demonstrating and selling their art/craft at this year’s 56th annual festival in downtown Hendersonville, on October 3 – 4.
The Arts Council is seeking artists who work in mediums such as plein air painting, carving, wood turning, blacksmithing, spinning, jewelry, weaving, lampwork, and much more. Participants will be required to demonstrate on both days of the festival.
Those who wish to apply will have to submit three images (CD or prints) of finished pieces. The application is available on the Arts Council’s website, acofhc.org, or can be obtained by emailing the Arts Council at acofhc@bellsouth.net. The deadline for consideration is August 7.

CALL FOR ART DEMONSTRATIONS FOR 56th ANNUAL ART ON MAIN
Hendersonville, NC ….. The Arts Council of Henderson County is looking for artists who are interested in demonstrating and selling their art or craft at the upcoming 56th annual Art on Main Festival, which will be held along downtown Hendersonville’s historic Main Street, October 3 & 4, 2015. Hours are 10am–5pm both days.
Artists will be required to demonstrate on both days of the festival. The Arts Council is looking for candidates in media such as plein air painting, carving, wood turning, blacksmithing, spinning, jewelry, weaving, lampwork, etc.
Artists will be juried for this event and should submit three images (CD or prints) of finished pieces. The requirements for the booth will be included on the demonstrator’s application. The booth fee will be $50. The application is available on the Arts Council’s website, www.acofhc.org, or by emailing the Arts Council at acofhc@bellsouth.net.
Deadline for consideration is August 7, 2015. Applications may be dropped off at the Arts Council office at 401 North Main Street, Ste. 302, Hendersonville, NC, or mailed to Arts Council at PO Box 767, Hendersonville, NC 28793.
