Local photographer and author Tim Barnwell gives a presentation and book signing at the Asheville Art Museum on Tuesday, July 14.

Come to the museum for a special evening presentation and book signing with Appalachian photographer Tim Barnwell on Tuesday July 14th at 7:00 PM. Based in Asheville, Tim Barnwell’s photographs depict the society, culture, and natural beauty of Western North Carolina. Renowned as a master printer, his work is internationally collected and included in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, High Museum of Art, Greenville (SC) County Museum of Art, Mint Museum, and the Bank of America corporate offices. His photographs have appeared in Time, Newsweek, House Beautiful, and Aperture magazines. He is the author of three monographs about Appalachian rural life and culture, and most recently, Blue Ridge Parkway Vistas: A Comprehensive Identification Guide to What You See from the Many Overlooks. Barnwell’s books will be available for purchase. The presentation will include a question and answer session, with a book signing to follow.
